Mamas

As much as I love the dogs I’ve adopted, and all the dogs I’ve fostered, my idea of true bliss would be to gather all the mama dogs I’ve helped and live happily every after.

But the truth is that they are all such strong individuals, that it would be a management nightmare!

I foster because I can’t NOT. I adopt when a space becomes available or the circumstances are dire.

No matter who’s living at my house, we fold them into our lives as much as possible. And that depends on the dog, the circumstances and my capacity to manage. The scenario is fluid – people come and go, paid work urgency fluctuates, my personal needs and priorities change.

So, at this moment, Lola is my oldest foster-fail; Josie is hanging out, waiting for the perfect family; and Peach tends to her puppies.
