Night-time puppy play-time

I remember those summer nights when my mom would call us in from a game of kick the can, to get ready for bed. We’d linger, trying to savor the call of the stars.

Husky pups think California winters are the summer nights of my youth! They grab one last bit of outside playtime before we decide that it’s time to rest and get ready for another big day.

6-7 week old puppies are exploring and expanding and trying to figure out where they fit.

For me, this is the golden time. By now, they’re robust, mama is weaning them, they are discovering something new every day, their ability to learn is off the charts! And I know that I get to enjoy them for another couple of weeks before we say good-bye.

Night-time playtime is special. I cherish every moment.
